Advocacy
In 1984, the Southern California Water Committee was founded on the premise that Southern Californians turned on their faucets without giving thought to where the water came from, or whether there would always be enough water to meet their needs.

Today, we realize that water shortages can exact a tremendous toll on both our economy and our lifestyle. The Southern California Water Committee is an independent advocate for Southern California’s water interests. WATER IS OUR SOLE INTEREST.

Policy Direction
The Southern California Committee is a powerful voice for Southern California because it reflects a broad consensus of water issues. Strong leadership and the collective expertise of its members allow the SCWC to contribute amply resources and viable strategies to statewide water resolution efforts.
