Events & Calendar
SCWC provides frequent and useful programming to ensure that our members stay informed about California water issues, and involved in the statewide dialogue.
Once per quarter, the SCWC Board of Trustees, membership and the general public gather to network, discuss California’s critical water issues, and hear presentations from some of our state’s most influential water leaders. Our Quarterly Meetings are perfect opportunities for members and the general public to meet with one another and stay proactive in the effort to ensure a healthy water future for California.
The final quarterly meeting of each year, the SCWC Annual Meeting and Dinner, is our flagship event, featuring a diverse array of experts, thought and opinion leaders and SCWC members who come together to share information and ideas, and map out the coming year in California water.
Don't forget to mark your calendar now for SCWC's 29th Annual Dinner, Thursday, October 24, 2013.

SCWC's 29th Annual Dinner Sponsors
SCWC hosted its 29th Annual Dinner - Water Bond 2014: Policy, Politics & Public Opinion - on Thursday, October 24 at the Pacific Palms Hotel & Conference Center. The event boasted nearly 400 guests in attendance & the dinner program included a lively discussion on the 2014 water bond that featured three key water leaders: Assemblymember Anthony Rendon, Chair, Assembly Working Group on the Water Bond; Ellen Hanak, Senior Fellow, Public Policy Institute of California & Joe Caves, Political Insider and Campaign Manager for Past Water/Natural Resource Bonds/Ballot Measures.
SCWC also honored the City of Chino & Lewis Group of Companies with the 2013 Hon. Harriett Wieder Water Leadership Award for their leadership in the design/development of The Preserve, an 8,000 home master plan community that is a model for regional self-sufficiency and water use efficiency practices. The community relies on no imported water – utilizing water from the City of Chino (via the Chino Basin Desalter Authority) and reclaimed water provided by the Inland Empire Utilities Agency.
As SCWC continues to be at the forefront of disseminating key information about our state's water supply reliability & infrastructure, the organization would not be where it is today without the support of its members & event sponsors.
